After a gap of about two years I went trail running yesterday. Since I needed to break in my new (almost) minimalist zero heel to toe drop trail running shoes, I decided to do a short run of only 2 miles. I was happy to discover that the work I put in terms of fitness during this break from running had left me in a better place than I was two years ago.Note: The trail in this park has sections with a boardwalk over the wetlands, which is great for walking and bird watching. Bikes, jogging, and dogs are not allowed on the boardwalk.
