May 1, 2006 | Few of the local kids from a nearby village accompanied us on the way to the top of Achalu Betta off Kanakapura road, Karnataka (India). As I hiked at my own pace taking pauses at picture taking opportunities, I came across one of the kids who had gone ahead of me, and he was seated on a rock with an empty seat on another rock beside him. I felt like the scene screamed of loneliness and the above photograph is my attempt at capturing it.
