Even though this is an old picture, I see it as an excellent reminder for how important rest is to productivity. In the past few years I seem to have forgotten this important lesson and continue to chug away without investing in adequate time to recharge. While I have always known that it should be prioritized and part of my daily routine, and not something that is done once in a while as an after thought or when the metaphorical gas tank is empty, I haven't been very disciplined about it. I plan to change that moving forward and use this post as a reminder to myself to stay on the path of mindfulness and rest, while engaging in all the things that life brings with renewed enthusiasm and gusto.
